The market share is converted into a weekly sales estimate based on industry reports on the overall size of the market, including reports published in Media Play News. The consumer spending estimate is based on the average sales price for the title in the retailers we survey. We refine our estimates from week to week as more data becomes available. In particular, we adjust weekly sales figures for the quarter once the total market estimates are published by the Digital Entertainment Group. Figures will therefore fluctuate each week, and totals for individual titles can go up or down as we update our estimates. Because sales figures are estimated based on sampling, they will be more accurate for higher-selling titles. Home Market Releases for May 21st, May 21st, It is a very strange week on the home market. How to Train Your Dragon is a American computer-animated action fantasy film loosely based on the book of the same name by British author Cressida Cowell , produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. Miller , and Kristen Wiig. The story takes place in a mythical Viking world where a young Viking teenager named Hiccup aspires to follow his tribe’s tradition of becoming a dragon slayer. After finally capturing his first dragon, and with his chance at last of gaining the tribe’s acceptance, he finds that he no longer wants to kill the dragon and instead befriends it. The film premiered at the Gibson Amphitheater on March 21, , [2] and was released in the United States five days later on March Much like their predecessor, both sequels were widely praised and became box office successes. The film’s success has also inspired other merchandise, including a video game and a television series. The Viking village of Berk, located on a remote island, is attacked frequently by dragons, which take livestock and damage property. Hiccup, the awkward fifteen-year-old son of the village chieftain, Stoick the Vast, is deemed too scrawny and weak to fight the dragons, so he instead creates mechanical devices under his apprenticeship with Gobber, the village blacksmith, though Hiccup’s inventions often backfire.

Should they make Dragons 2? Hiding 3 comments How to Train Your Dragon Answers. With more HiccupXAstrid. Like one with laser eyes. That’s a pretty cliche idea But I kinda like it.
Omg that would be epic! Look at the Shrek franchise and how far downhill that has gone with the sequels! I’d much rather them leave Dragon as is. Film companies these days are notorious at garnering as much money as they can from unnecessary sequels.
I would much rather have one Grade A film than have that one film tarnished by a plethora of crappy sequels. Besides, Dragons concluded so well that a sequel is certainly not a necessity nor a logical option plot-wise. Hiding 5 comments I understand it’s your opinion, and this is. Considering you’re not the asker of this question, the fact that you’re responding to everyone’s answer almost seems like you’re imposing your opinion on everyone else regardless ,ake what they may think.
I respect your opinion, but I would much youe that you kind of chill out and not feel the urge to reply to every single person’s answer on. If you’d djd to start a topic on how «awesome» a sequel would be, please do so in the Forum section of this spot. I would heartily welcome a debate there, but not here where people just give their answers to a question rather than discuss.
Ick, Shrek. There is, in fact, a whole series of sequels of that book. And there is a spin-off of the series written in Toothless’ point of view called ‘How to Train Your Viking’.
I would love to see those made into films. However, the book appears to have a completely different plot to the film. Even some characters are different, i. Now I hope this helps you think this. That’s what they always do in Dreamworks. But, at least DW is good with sequels.
The second ones for both of those movies were a lot better then the first ones, at least mqke the critics. But also for Dreamworks, they make a third one. That’s the one that usually ruins the whole thing. Like Shrek. And the third Madagascar is coming out in So I will be looking forward to the sequel, but not the one after. I think it ended great, I dont’ want a sequal to ruin it! But if they do it only for the money monfy won’t work.
The whole thing was freaking awesome. They should develop some of the characters more especially Astrid. I would be stoked for more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe there. Maybe an evil guy would come and try to capture Toothless because he is a dragon collector or. Toothless getting a girlfriend idea might be too cliche. I agree there to be a sequel but I don’t think having an evil guy would work atleast the way you described it would just be too generic and this was a bit more of a unique movie and I want it to stay that way. It would ruin the whole story, and most of the times the sequels really suck.
It is nake awsome story just like how it is right. It would be dumb not to. Shrek wasn’t amazing, but the 3rd one wasn’t that bad! I’m excited though!
