Microsoft chases engagement even harder by doling out free digital items in exchange for stream viewerships. One of the best ways to get consumers to participate in anything is to give out free stuff. Microsoft has a history of this: first they started up a prize lottery you enter by completing in-game objectives, then Xbox Quests on Game Pass that pays you in MS Points for doing things in the service’s games. MixPot, which gives you free games or content for watching announcement streams like E3 , was another initiative. Now the company is giving out free in-game loot for watching Mixer streams. The company recently announced Mixer Loot , an initiative that rewards viewers with free digital loot if they happen to catch specific in-game moments. The promo will start with Sea of Thieves, and you’ll have to watch 30 arena matches between April 30 and May 5 to get the loot pack. Oh and, there’s a «while supplies last» attached to the terms, as if Microsoft can run out of digital items. You are rewarded for watching specific in-game activities on Mixer Loot-supported games. The technology must be able to detect important information from the game displayed on screen. The information that must be clearly visible on screen varies for each game,» reads the announcement.

Mixer is vital to Microsoft’s success and with its massive engagement hooks aimed at keeping people watching—and by extension, playing games—for as long as possible, the streaming outlet is a clear example of the company’s service-first approach. Mixer is basically a Twitch platform that’s monetized with advertisements and a direct streamer tipping system. Microsoft earns cash from every purchase of Mixer’s premium tipping currency as well as from advertisements, but the streaming platform’s real value is more subtle. Engagement is Microsoft’s currency. It’s no longer focused on just making games, but creating services around and in those games some games like Crackdown 3 are simply additive to its online-based business model and were created just to sell subscriptions like Game Pass. Every single big first-party game from Microsoft is designed to do two things: be played for as long as possible, and monetize the engagement it creates with a live-based approach. So it only makes sense that Mixer, an extension of this business model, would tap into the same ideals.

Devils Roar gives more gold and rep. Golden chicken were once the way to go to farm Merchants reputation. Just leave nothing, every cheap chest is worth something and is part of the game you play and hopefully dont work off. You can go for efficency and miss to play the game while working it off. There is nothing you need gamemechanically, nothing what lets have you any disadvantage. Do all and everything you like. If you «exploit» or just work it off efficently you will be PLA10 one day and wont remember special things, but you beated the grind and worked it off.
Solo can be fun, i like to solo some days too, but i fheieves recommend you a crew of maybe Persons to find players you can have fun. Sometimes nobody plays, sometimes you are 5 or 7 and not all can play together, but you then streamnig allways options to play. Less time consuming, more fun, better for PvP. Get to know some folks in the community.
Open crews monej always be hit or miss. There is no real end to the game, so trying to level up fast means you miss out on the one true form of progression in the game maiing player skill.

Happy sailing! Solo by itself it really inefficent, I would still recommend crewing up. Trying using tools to weed out players. The Xbox LFG has crews with set goals as well as having like minded people.
You can also join the Official Sea of Thieves Discord to find people, or just one of the hundreds of player made groups. If you can get into one, find one of those Alliance servers.
Some players have locked down a server were they are in control. Everyone is in an Alliance, and all have the same goal in mind.
How you get into these servers? I have no clue nor do I care to find. For me it seaa the fun of the game by removing the unknown player aspect. If you can’t find this server just Alliance up can speed up things, however be prepared to find people who have are unwilling to join an Alliance theeives will just sink you.
I would say avoid forts if you are slow at clearing them solo. Mainly due to some can be contested, and unless you are a good player it will just be stolen under you. The faster you can clear them the better. With all these suggestions, I’d reccomend none of. If your goal makijg just to get PL or A10, your just gonna burn.
When you turn a game into a grind, it becomes a chore and no longer a game. Just play the game in a form that is fun. I predominently stole loot for PL, that to me was fun. I keep doing it to this day, and I’ve been playing since day one. Some enjoy stealing Athena chests, with some reaching 50 plus stolen chests. To each their steraming, but don’t worry about the grind. Simply just play the game.

He’s doing exactly what twitch is intended to do, stream himself playing a game. Rare could acknowledge him sure, but I don’t think a sponsorship or anything is necessary. Acknowledged. There are tons of people on these forums that have always streamed SoT way before someone online told everyone it was okay and cool now to do so. SoT pretty much never got stream time. It was super cool and trendy to hate on SoT. Just because some random guy told his flock it’s okay now I don’t agree with game companies giving kickbacks to streamers. If they want to give him some exposure and feature him in a blog, fine. As a marketing tactic, hiring a streamer to play the game is an option but since he’s doing it for fun
